Why this topic?
My name is Vivian Todora, and I am a senior at Fort Worth Country Day. I have decided to do my capstone on defining mindfulness and its effects and benefits. I have always been interested in the idea of "being mindful," but I never knew exactly what that meant or where I could begin. With this website I hope to accomplish a few things: learn where and how to begin practicing mindfulness, study the benefits and psychological effects of mindfulness, and demonstrate a (small) experiment to test how even small acts of mindfulness can affect the people in their daily life.
